Organizing an entire room can be difficult, especially when you're in a hurry- so here are a few tips to get it done in less than 10 minutes. This is especially helpful when you are trying to make a good first impression or are meeting someone after school and they are studying in your room.
-First, pick up all of the dirty clothes and put them in a basket or carry them to the laundry room. This will decrease a lot of clutter. This will take about a minute.
-Now, collect your belongings off of the floor and temporarily store them in a box/container. Also, pick up certain things that are unneeded and are taking up unnecessary space and put those in the box, too. This will also take about a minute. Also, put on some motivating music-I recommend "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey- and GET TO WORK. Just kidding, this is easy. :D
-Then, clear off your dresser and pick up the rest of your belongings and either stuff them under your bed (if it isn't already completely full of stuff down there) or in the closet. Now close the closet door- trust me, it makes a big difference!
-To add a colorful glow to the room, drape a colorful scarf/shirt over your lamp and it will turn the room that color. This will make your room seem more peaceful, and plus, it's just an extra touch.
-Next, straighten out your bed sheets/covers, smooth out the blanket and pillows, and arrange your stuffed animals (if you have any). This makes it look like you made your bed, and are the type of person that does that type of thing, even if you aren't. Also, if there's a bunch of stuff sticking out from under there, arrange your blanket/sheets so that it hangs off the bed and covers it up. This will only take about 2 minutes.
-Clear off your desk (if you have one) and place anything important/embarassing (e.g. a diary) out of sight. It takes less than a minute.
-If you have anything hanging on the doorknob (e.g. a sweatshirt, pants, maybe some underwear), place it either in the closet or in your dresser.
-Finally, pick up any shoes on the floor and put them in a large empty box in your dresser. You can use this to store shoes; especially if you have A LOT.
YOU'RE DONE!!! Finally. You literally did that in a little over 5 minutes.
