2. You should probably pick a good topic for your journal- to keep it organized, and if you have a few notebooks, assign each one their own topic (e.g. one for creative writing, the other a bullet journal).
3. It doesn't matter much if you're a bit messy, but still, try to keep your journal organized enough that you don't have too much trouble with it. Use sticky notes to mark pages, tear things out neatly with no messy rips, and use a pen that works well so that you aren't constantly scribbling.
4. Try to write as often as possible in order to improve your skills and, depending on the type of journal, keep it up to date. Start working out a schedule to write one page every day.
5. If you don't already have one, pick a journal that works for you- college ruled, wide ruled, composition, pocket-sized, etc. Choose one that is attractive enough that you look forward to looking at it every single day, but one that fits within your budget.
6. Don't be pressured by your notebook, you do not need to write in it everyday and it's okay to draw in it and doodle and it's okay that you spilled water on the cover and also you set your coffee on it every day.... It's just a book.
Thanks for reading my 600th post (that's a lot...!), I hope you have written this many posts (OR MORE) or at least written in this many pages of your journal.
xx Savannah
