8 Best Things You Can Do With Picmonkey

Thursday, May 7, 2015

Picmonkey is my favorite online photo editing service, I use it 90% of the time, except for the best mobile editor Aviary. But today, we're talking about Picmonkey- and the best things that you can do with it, every so easily. If I list something that may require a tutorial, don't worry, I will be adding a hyperlink that can direct you to that tutorial. In case you don't already use Picmonkey, I recommend you look it up and get on there right now- by checking out their Pinterest boards, you can soon discover that with Picmonkey, everything is possible. Here's a couple awesome things you can do with them:

1. You can turn a photo into an illustration. This gives it a really cool effect, here's the tutorial.

2. You can make a text mask. I actually wrote a post on this a while back, and I love doing these sooo much- here's the tutorial in case you missed it.

3. You can ALSO make your own watermark if your making Pins for your blog! I made mine, now you make yours; here's the tutorial.

4. You can access ALL of your own fonts that you've downloaded and/or saved to your computer. Just click "Your Own" on the fonts page and it'll have a ton of fonts that are all yours.

5. It's pretty much free! All the best stuff is up for grabs, free of charge, but there is a Royale option that allows you to continue without ads and a few additional fonts, overlays, etc. But all the best stuff is totally free!

6. You can upload your own overlays! By saving photos to your computer, you can use those in any photo you edit on Picmonkey. Just click "Your Own" on the overlays page.

7. You can edit any photo, with tons of filters and cropping options available. Whether it be a family photo or just another one of your cat, upload it to your computer and click "Open" at the top of the page in any editor.

8. You can create a custom Pin for any blog post you may be doing. I made the above photo using Picmonkey, and it was completely free and super easy!

I hope this has influenced your decision on choosing Picmonkey over silly old Canva. Canva is great, but a lot of it costs money and they don't have the best choices- I prefer the monkey. Thanks for reading!
