5 DIYs to Try Before the Weekend

I know I usually write DIY posts like this on a Friday or around the time of a holiday or other event/time of year, but I have some extra time this morning and am in a crafty mood. My Michael's trip is delayed, considering my mum having her second ear surgery Thursday and my aunt visiting sometime the week after, so I'm doing everything I can to be crafty without the inspiring supplies I hope for. Last night, I got out the sewing machine to patch up a sock, and had the wondrous idea of heading to Joann's this summer and getting supplies to- wait for it- MAKE A QUILT! I know it's very difficult, but I'd like to do a simple one. I won't be alone, remember, my mum will help, of course. Don't I have the most splendid of ideas? People should hire me.
