Friday DIY Roundup #76

Happy Friday! This was a looooooong week, so hopefully the weeks will be shorter as the year goes on. We're getting super close to Autumn, it's only a few days away, and Starbucks already has it's Pumpkin Spice Latte out (I even had a dream about the PSL???). I have so many fun Fall-themed posts coming up, but first, DIY roundup!

Have you ever tried to spend three weeks without your absolute best friend that you spend time with every week, and even worse, they're on a Disney cruise which is only the one thing you've wanted to do your whole life? That's how my life is going right now.... But on the bright side, Pinterest has a bunch of cute DIYs~

8 Home Decor DIYs Just Because
Thursday, August 4, 2016
Spring cleaning shouldn't be the only time of year when you clean out your home and get things organized once and for all- honestly, you should do it in all seasons of the year. But once you get rid of the things you don't want/need and you've cleaned up a bit, then your house could look a bit boring. Some say it's minimalistic, but it's boring. DIY home decor to the rescue!
1. Shibori Style Duvet Cover (as shown in photo) by A Beautiful Mess
2. DIY Rifle Paper Co. Clock by Henry Happened
3. Honeycomb Garland DIY by Oh Happy Day!
4. Donut Pegboard by Oh Happy Day!
5. No-Sew Pillow by POPSugar Home
6. Geometric Organization Inspiration Board by A Bubbly Life
7. DIY Pom Pom Pillow by The Hunted Interior
8. Cork Storage Box by Sugar and Cloth
I love the idea of a geometric inspiration board, but I don't love the way they did it. I'd like to make my own with cork board and push pins, and then set it up someplace in my room rather than where I work. Overall, the concept is wonderful and I can't wait to make my own!

6 Green DIYs for Summer Harvest Season
Tuesday, August 2, 2016
It's summer, and when I think of summer, I think watering the vegetable garden and harvesting snow peas, measuring the sunflowers that are taller than I am (not very surprising, I'm 5') and excitedly carrying handfuls of carrots up to the house. Some DIYs would make the perfect side dish!
1. Neon Dipped Succulent Pots (as shown in photo) by Hello Bee
2. Cement Block Planters by Remodelista
3. Living Monogram Wreath by BHG
4. House-Shaped Clay Pots by Say Yes to Hoboken
5. Tire Swing Succulent Planter by A Beautiful Mess

It doesn't matter if you have a huge vegetable garden, or a little collection of herbs on your terrace- either one can mean you have a green thumb!

Wow, it's been kind of a while since my last DIY roundup. I didn't mean to take so many breaks, but summer got in the way, and I don't want to be one of those blogs that slows down in the summer! So now it's time to write another post BEFORE I sit back and open up Harry Potter again...

Happy Friday! It was raining yesterday, but it looks like today will be a little bit sunnier, which is nice. I'm on day 3 with my new Macbook Pro, and I'm pleased to say that the OS X El Capitan operating system is super easy to use and I'm happy with my Mac, it has made everything so much easier and I'm excited to be blogging every day now because of how easy and simple it is.

Friday DIY Roundup #67

Wow. Next week is my final week of classes. Everything is coming to an end, but at the same time, there are tons of new beginnings. There's an entire summer ahead of us, holding BBQ's, swimming, bike rides, ice cream, hikes and watching the sun rise at 6 am in the warm morning dew instead of not being able to see it because of the clouds and rain. I love summer because of that.

Friday DIY Roundup #66
Friday, May 27, 2016
At the beginning of this week, all of my teachers said it would be a quick and easy week- and though I admit it was rather quick, it certainly was not easy, considering I'm testing in most of my classes (not very fun) but today I'm looking forward to seeing Alice Through the Looking Glass in theatres. First, let's start off the weekend with some DIYs!

I love that summer is almost here, and it's the kind of weather where it's pouring down rain one minute, and then seventy degrees the next, which makes for the perfect time for bike riding. "I got this feeling on a summer day when you were gone..." is how I'm starting this Friday morning off. Comment below if you know what song that is ;) Spotify is the best thing ever, it's so much better than Pandora, with the exception of limited skips (which I don't really mind all that much). Another three-day-weekend is ahead of us, but this time it won't be as hot and sunny as the last- we're looking at more rainy days! Rainy days make Stephen King books more fun to read, they make the soil smell like spring, they make you want to bake something, and drink hot chocolate after a long walk through the rain while you sit and play Jenga while you wait for whatever you're baking to be done. Need something to bake/cook this weekend

The power was out the other night, which was really nice, because I love when that happens- aside from there being no WiFi and no way of being able to charge my phone, reading by the candlelight and playing Jenga as the sunlight slowly fades is super relaxing and I hope we have more thunderstorms soon.

So it's Friday, and guess what this isn't going to be a DIY Roundup.... APRIL FOOLS! You guys know I couldn't write anything other than a DIY Roundup on a Friday. But there's something even more exciting than April Fools in this post- this very post is the thousandth post. That's right, ladies and gents, I've written 1000 blog posts over the course of nearly two years. It sounds like a small milestone for those of you long-time bloggers, but this is pretty big for me~
