Have you ever tried to spend three weeks without your absolute best friend that you spend time with every week, and even worse, they're on a Disney cruise which is only the one thing you've wanted to do your whole life? That's how my life is going right now.... But on the bright side, Pinterest has a bunch of cute DIYs~

1. Wool Woven Paper Basket (as shown in photo) by Fall for DIY

2. Daisy String Lights by The House That Lars Built

6 DIY School Supplies for Back to School

Thursday, August 25, 2016

Ugh.... I went back to school shopping today and got all the supplies I need. It's a huge reminder that school is coming up in just over a week, and I just want to go back to July! What even happened to July? We were in and out just like that. I feel like we just had the fourth, and my birthday, and everything else you look forward to in July. Now we have to see August go...

1. Back to School Notebooks by Momtastic

2. DIY Pencil Pouch by Mamamiss

3. Emoji Locker Magnets by The Surznick Common Room

4. DIY Washi Tape Pencils by Stephanie White Style

5. Confetti Pencils by Make and Tell

Even though I prefer using pens in class, I think having a cute pencils would really help you stay focused and would maybe even improve your handwriting. Also, where did the days go when you would buy a binder with a clear cover so that you could put a picture inside? I never see people do that anymore...

Friday DIY Roundup #73

Friday, August 5, 2016

All I can think about lately is packing, because I'm leaving for Atlanta on Tuesday and I always forget something. The funniest thing happened when I was unpacking a bag I always use as my carryon- it was full of soaps and other hotel items, a flight itinerary, my boarding passes AND a car rental receipt. The funny part was that they were from my trip to Maui.... last year. I love packing, but unpacking just isn't my cup of tea.

1. DIY Pannier Bags for your Bike (as shown in photo) by Lovely Indeed

2. Felt Sugar Skull Sachets by Adventures in Making

3. DIY Pom Pom Leather Luggage Tags by Sugar and Cloth

4. Modern Tassel Necklace by Persia Lou

5. DIY Party People Favors by Oh Joy!

6. Rainbow Honeycomb Place Cards by Oh Happy Day!

7. Gold Leaf Art by Lovely Indeed

I really want to make my own DIY luggage tag this year, because we always find ourselves hurriedly filling out those little tags they give you when we check in. Plus, we have a big black suitcase.... A cute pink tag would really make it stand out in the baggage claim.

8 Home Decor DIYs Just Because

Thursday, August 4, 2016

Spring cleaning shouldn't be the only time of year when you clean out your home and get things organized once and for all- honestly, you should do it in all seasons of the year. But once you get rid of the things you don't want/need and you've cleaned up a bit, then your house could look a bit boring. Some say it's minimalistic, but it's boring. DIY home decor to the rescue!

1. Shibori Style Duvet Cover (as shown in photo) by A Beautiful Mess

2. DIY Rifle Paper Co. Clock by Henry Happened

3. Honeycomb Garland DIY by Oh Happy Day!

4. Donut Pegboard by Oh Happy Day!

5. No-Sew Pillow by POPSugar Home

6. Geometric Organization Inspiration Board by A Bubbly Life

7. DIY Pom Pom Pillow by The Hunted Interior

8. Cork Storage Box by Sugar and Cloth

I love the idea of a geometric inspiration board, but I don't love the way they did it. I'd like to make my own with cork board and push pins, and then set it up someplace in my room rather than where I work. Overall, the concept is wonderful and I can't wait to make my own!

6 Green DIYs for Summer Harvest Season

Tuesday, August 2, 2016

It's summer, and when I think of summer, I think watering the vegetable garden and harvesting snow peas, measuring the sunflowers that are taller than I am (not very surprising, I'm 5') and excitedly carrying handfuls of carrots up to the house. Some DIYs would make the perfect side dish!

6 DIY Party Decorations for the Perfect Ice Cream Party

Wednesday, July 6, 2016

In case you didn't know, my birthday is this Friday (that would be the day after tomorrow)... And I'm PUMPED! Obviously, half of that is because today is hump day (happy Hump Day), and the other half is because I LOVE birthdays. I don't understand people who just brush away their birthday like it's nothing, because every year I count down the days, and every year it's the happiest day ever- although there's a really weird pattern where it's always cloudy and cold on my birthday, and usually even raining, despite the fact that it's July. What are you trying to say, Mother Nature?

My birthday is officially one week away, and I'm super pumped. There's nothing like a summer birthday- fudgesicles, swimming, stargazing, late summer nights, and then all summer to play with the presents you got.

7 DIY EOS Lip Balm, Etc. Tutorials

Thursday, June 30, 2016

By far, the most common YouTube tutorials on the planet, besides probably bath bombs (though those usually stick to the other side of the internet, AKA Pinterest) is EOS lip balms. Sure, you can buy them, but only the common peasants do that nowadays. I'm gonna warn you, not all of these are lip balm..... People are getting more and more creative and it's scaring me.

Fun fact that is super obvious and yet nobody knows: EOS stands for Evolution of Smooth. I'm shocked by the number of people that don't even know this and yet call themselves EOS professionals.... Do you even EOS?

Happy Friday! It was raining yesterday, but it looks like today will be a little bit sunnier, which is nice.  I'm on day 3 with my new Macbook Pro, and I'm pleased to say that the OS X El Capitan operating system is super easy to use and I'm happy with my Mac, it has made everything so much easier and I'm excited to be blogging every day now because of how easy and simple it is.

WE'VE DONE IT! THE LAST WEEK OF ACTUAL SCHOOL IS OVER! Time for nothing but field trips, ice cream parties, graduation + field day. I cherish this time of the year, because everything is over and there's so much excitement over the last day of school, and no wit's even better because graduation is coming up and I can't wait to finally be done with everything, even if it is just for one summer- but those three months are always as long as the school year.

Friday DIY Roundup #67

Friday, June 3, 2016

Wow. Next week is my final week of classes. Everything is coming to an end, but at the same time, there are tons of new beginnings. There's an entire summer ahead of us, holding BBQ's, swimming, bike rides, ice cream, hikes and watching the sun rise at 6 am in the warm morning dew instead of not being able to see it because of the clouds and rain. I love summer because of that.

10 Summer Pool Party DIYs

Wednesday, June 1, 2016

Pool party season is here! (so is Hump Day, by the way) It's gonna be in the hundreds this weekend, and when the pool is up to 76 degrees F, you know it's time to make a splash. Also, next week is the last full week of classes, and after that it's just graduation and saying goodbye to everything I've been looking forward to saying goodbye to. It's not really a sad goodbye... The only sad goodbye is the one we say when October comes and so does cold weather.

Friday DIY Roundup #66

Friday, May 27, 2016

At the beginning of this week, all of my teachers said it would be a quick and easy week- and though I admit it was rather quick, it certainly was not easy, considering I'm testing in most of my classes (not very fun) but today I'm looking forward to seeing Alice Through the Looking Glass in theatres. First, let's start off the weekend with some DIYs!
