10 Things to Do with a Moleskine

Wednesday, August 26, 2015

Moleskines, if you're not already familiar with them, are a common brand of notebooks usually used for bullet journaling and travel journals, but they are also great for other types of journaling and sketching. I LOVE to keep a journal, a sketchbook, or even just an idea book around at all times and the moleskine is just so perfect for that, and it's only $12.56 for a 3-pack on Amazon here. That's a pretty good price for a durable take-everywhere notebook that you can carry just about everywhere you go, not to mention their Kraft-brown covers are totally customizable. Let's see what you can do with one, though~

DIY Journals; saving me money... 1. Make a gratitude journal! Simply write down 3 things you're grateful for every night.

2. Start a one-sentence journal, if you're short on time, and just write down one sentence every day.

3. Start a morning journal. Every morning, as soon as you wake up, write out 3 pages in long hand and then just stop.

4. Copy Da Vinci's notebook habit. Carry it everywhere, and record everything you see, such as your observations on strangers, small sketches, lists, etc.

5. Write down quotes you love. Sit down and write down all of your favorite motivational & book quotes, soaking in all the wisdom you can.

6. Keep an art journal. Record your day using doodles, drawings, stickers, paintings, and other cute embellishments.

8. Create your bucket list! Similar to the idea above, it allows you to write down every thing you want to do before you die, such as places to go and things to do, and people to meet. You can be constantly adding to it every single day, and checking things off of it every day, too.

9. Use it for writing exercises! That's what I use mine for, and I love writing something new and creative every day. It's a lot of fun and there are so many writing exercises all over Pinterest.

10. Start a language journal. When you're learning a new language, it can be quite difficult, so keeping a journal to record your progress and vocabulary is very helpful.

If you recently bought a moleskine or other journal but don't know what to do with it, then I hope this list helped you out, because it really inspired me to get writing. Thanks for reading!
