3 Reasons Why I'm Happy Today

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

It's HUMP DAY! Happy Wednesday, readers, and most of all, Happy Hump Day. I am needing to pack because I leave for Maui tomorrow, so I have a list of things to pack. I'm terribly sorry if I miss a few posts, because I won't be bringing my laptop, so I have to share one.. with the rest of my family. But they all love sleeping in, so while they sleep in till 11:30am, I'll be up at 7:00am with the computer all to myself. At least, that's how I did it in Mexico.

Adventure Journal1. My aunt taught me how to knit- I can't wait to knit myself a cat suit.

2. I'll have 2 travel journals in Maui- a notebook, and this blog.

3. I have just enough books to pack for Maui, because I read LIKE CRAZY on vacation. I read more on vacation than in school, seriously.

I hope you all have a great day and a great rest of the week, and I'm gonna try and post as much as I can before I leave!

3 Reasons Why I'm Happy Today

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

It's Tuesday; a terrific Tuesday, if you may. It is my day... (not my birthday) HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!! I'm a lucky Irish ginger c: I hope you're wearing green, because or else, people have the authority to pinch you.. Or punch you, however you do it. Anyway, I'm so happy about this awesome day, so have an awesome time celebrating however you like!

Pineapple . Allie Rotenberg .1. My aunt is here and she brought her tiny adorable dog, Velvet :) ( SHE'S SO SOFT!)

2. I got some chocolate chip cookies that taste like raw cookie dough.. BEST. THING. EVER.

3. My aunt got me an amazing belt from Hot Topic and the most amazing socks... They are kittens riding through the galaxy on pieces of bacon, I might post a picture some time.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to leave a comment below about your favorite St. Patty's day tradition, if you have one! If you don't, then simply tell me why you're happy on the day of the Irish.

10 Lists You Should Keep in Your Bullet Journal

If you don't have/keep a bullet journal, you totally should. Here are some posts that I wrote- this one is a text post and this one is a video. Anyway, once you've started one, one of the reasons you probably started is because you are a list lover- and you make a lot of lists, just like me. If you've written all of the lists you could think of, here are a few more ideas for lists to make- just because you love lists, and bullet journaling.

Give without remembering and receive without forgetting.1. To-do list.

2. What-I-Want list/wish list.

3. To-buy (shopping for clothes/accessories)

4. Gift ideas.

5. Grocery list.

6. Books to read.

7. Places to go.

8. Favorite music.

9. Goals.

10. Blogging prompts/ideas (optional).

If you keep a bullet journal, or just simply a journal in general, then you should totally jot down these lists, or just the title so that you can work on them later!

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!

Happy St. Patty's Day, readers! I've decided to do an Irish DIY roundup, which is just a regular DIY roundup, but it's not Friday. These are all St. Patrick's crafts, and there are a few printables, too. Here you go, be Irish!!

6. Printable Party Flags by Elegance & Enchantment

20 Motivational Quotes to Start Your Week

3 Reasons Why I'm Happy Today

It's Monday, it's a rainy day here in Oregon and it has been DUMPING all weekend long, which is nice because I love the sound of rain on a metal roof. Monday morning, like I say every week, is the start of a new day and a new week. I watched Ghost Adventures earlier, I don't know if you guys watch that or not, but it's one of my favorite shows so I'm sad that all they have is a collection of them on Netflix, which is only about 25 episodes. They don't have my 2-3 favorite episodes- Pennhurst state school, Execution rocks, and that one where they're out in the woods. OOOH FREAKY.

DIY tutorial!1. Ghost Adventures is awesome, at least they have some episodes on Netflix.

2. I've started a list of what I'm gonna pack for Maui. No, I haven't packed yet, and yes, we leave on Thursday.

3. My hair is wavy-curly because I braided it last night after my shower c:

Why are you happy today?? Do you also like Ghost Adventures?? Leave a comment below telling me your thoughts! Thanks for reading!

21 Blogging Prompts for March

Thursday, March 12, 2015

I'm gonna try and post 21 blogging prompts every month and try to make it like a monthly thing that people really look forward to. All I need to do is remember to do this next month.. and the month after that... and then all those other months.. Well, it can't be too hard, all I have to do is tell people what to write about when they're brain dead. Anyway, Happy Thursday, we are only 24 hours from Friday, so you've got that to look forward to. Just in case you're totally brain dead and have no idea what tot write, here are a couple of blog post topics.

Workout because you love your body, not because you hate it1. Pick a quote from Pinterest- one that you love, one that constantly inspires you. Write about how it inspires you and why you love it- you might inspire someone else to love it, too.

2. Take one weekend- just one- and try to get as much done as humanly possible. Blog as much as you can, clean the entire house, organize everything, and all while doing this- blog about your progress and tips for other people who might want to try it. (I must do this this weekend- so excited)

3. Try to capture your entire life in a nutshell- only a few paragraphs. Yep, your whole life. This will help your readers get to know you.

You are capable of amazing things4. Write about your blogging story- how you started blogging, when you started, why you blog, etc.

5. Make a wish list, of all the things that you'd like to buy/receive as a gift (e.g. EOS lip balm, washi tape, etc) and post that list. You might just get what you want if the right person's reading.

6. Make a list of all your favorite blogs with links to all of them- everyone likes a little free advertising they didn't ask for, and you could be doing someone a huge favor- perhaps directing thousands of readers with one simple link.

DIY IDEA: Felt flowers to make sweet wreaths7. Write about a day in the life of you- complete with photos and lots of detail.

8.Write a to-do list of everything you need to get done this week and post it- writing about it might motivate you to get it done faster!

9. Make a list of your blogging goals for this year, and how you're going to accomplish them.

10. Post your favorite not-so-secret recipe ever, complete with photos you took yourself and special tips to make it even better.

11. Post your favorite DIY with lots of photos and details, along with a description of why you love it so much.

12. Write a post from the point of view of your dog/cat/other pet and how they view you and your love for blogging. Just don't forget to tell your readers that it's your dog writing the post!!

angular13. Share a list of your personal tips for blogging- tips that you've learned over the years, tips that some people otherwise wouldn't find anywhere else on the interwebs.

14. Write a list of things about YOU that people can't find on your ABOUT page, that they wouldn't otherwise know about you, that are interesting facts and tid bits- e.g. your fears, your likes & dislikes, fave foods, etc.

15. Do an outside photo shoot- you don't have to hire a pro photographer, you don't have to have an ultra-expensive camera, you don't have to be perfect. Just take a couple of photos outside (with your iPhone perhaps??), add a few filters, and post them to your blog with a caption. See? Easy!

DIY Floral Decoupaged Tray16. Spring break is coming up soon, and if you're traveling somewhere, then treat your blog like a travel journal! Post a TON of pictures, what you like to see & do, and what you'd recommend to someone also visiting there.

17. Have someone do a guest post- they're fun, new, and the best part- you don't have to write it. Add a co-author, even. Or just have a friend write a cool post while you kick back with a smoothie... (or a milkshake, I like those better)

18. Write a DIY roundup! As someone who does them every Friday, I can promise you they are uber fun and everyone loves reading them. You can chose any number of DIYs, but I do 7- do you think that is enough/too much?

19. Simply write about 3 reasons that you're happy today. They are positive and inspiring, and kind of like a gratitude journal- do you keep a gratitude journal, too?? YOU SHOULD!

Beautiful stamps20. Find one of your most popular posts and write a sequel/something just like it. If people loved the last one, chances are, they'll love this one, too!

21. Write about a role model of yours and how they inspire you- you might inspire someone else, or you might be a role model to some other awesome blogger out there!

I hope you liked these, and if you truly love them, then I'll try to do one for April just for YOU. Have fun blogging!!

A Few Things I'm Currently Loving

Saturday, March 7, 2015

It's Saturday, it's 4:45pm, and I'm eating White Reese's PB cups. The idea of this blog post came to me while reading ABM and I soon realized that I haven't written one blog post yet today... How wrong is that? I guess I've been pretty much completely lazy considering it's a Saturday. I have Lazy Saturday syndrome, causing me to pretty much do nothing ever at all ALL day long. It's relaxing, though. Here's what I'm totally loving at the moment:

Diamond Geometric Gem Decor-Curling my hair. I curled it last night, this morning, and 5 minutes ago- I got my hair cut yesterday, so curling my hair is making me totally fabulous at the moment

-Cheshire cat from Alice and Wonderland- can't stop drawing him.

-Craftgawker is awesome, almost as addictive as Pinterest. I cannot get off.

-Geometric designs and how fantastic they are.

-COOKIES. I really want to try this no-flour recipe for choco-chip cookies by ABM. SO MUCH YUM.

-Midori travelers notebooks, I totally want one, along with a Moleskine.

But it's Friday, so I guess you don't have to wish me luck. Here's why I'm happy right now, besides the fact that it's LATE START Friday-

kathryn selbert Bunnies and Birthday Cake image for Melody1. I have a hair appointment after school, of which I will be walking to- they say Good-Bye's are sad, but I'm so happy to be saying good bye to my dead ends FINALLY.
